Every month, we shine a light on an artist who feels real and exciting. This month, we are proud to introduce Carley Varley.
Carley Varley is an alternative rock artist and band based in Winchester, UK. She brings big energy, strong emotion, and a powerful voice that hits you straight away. Her sound is bold, honest, and full of heart.
Carley started out as a pop singer-songwriter, but rock music is where she truly found herself. Inspired by bands like Paramore, Evanescence, Pvris, and Wolf Alice, she now creates music that is loud, emotional, and fearless. Her band joins her on stage to deliver original songs and crowd favourite covers that always connect.
She began writing songs and playing guitar and piano at just 14. For years, she kept her music private, only singing at home or at church. That all changed while she was at university, when she started busking and slowly building confidence. From there, things moved fast. She won The Venus Award for Musical Talent in 2018, reached the finals of Open Mic UK in 2019, and has since earned multiple award nominations for her songwriting and live work.
Her releases show real growth and honesty. From early fan favourites like Won’t Say Sorry, through to later tracks like Homesick, Attention!!!, Monochrome, and Butterflies, her songs explore love, loss, and healing. Her upcoming EP, Anatomy of Loss, focuses on the five stages of grief after a relationship ends and is already gaining strong support from radio and music blogs.
Live on stage, Carley is electric. Her vocals are often compared to Hayley Williams, and her performances are packed with feeling and power. She has played major festivals and iconic venues across the UK, and her shows always leave a mark.
With a new EP, more festivals, and bigger touring plans ahead, 2026 is set to be a huge year. Carley Varley is an artist who means every word she sings and gives everything on stage.
